hi all this is my first time on this forum i am tryng to read a .dat file which is the result of network transmission. everything is fine but it contains some transmission controls characters like, soh,eot,etx,bs,null etc

I am trying to read the content of the file using StreamReader Class in C# but getting awful results. pls help ASAP.
i need a code to display the data in correct format.
